My power company is a joke

PLAINTIFF — OPENING STATEMENT

Yesterday my power unexpectedly went out due to an issue at the substation, they were able to fix it within a timely manner (thankfully), well unbeknownst to myself and my fiancé they had scheduled maintenance work for tonight (11:30pm-2:30am, now bumped to 8:00am) and my power cut out again. Now we usually keep our house at a cool crisp 66°F year round, but since the power has been out for more than a few hours my house is starting to warm up to outdoor temperatures (90°F— my indoor thermometer is showing my house is sitting at 75°F currently) which is fine and all for my fiancé and I but NOT for our toddler. I'm a bit frustrated because why didn't they just do the maintenance that needed to be done yesterday when they were dealing with the substation instead of tonight. There's about 400 people in my community without power and a few of them that I personally know have medical equipment that require constant electrical connection.
