S&P Downgrades US, Dems Blame S&P Then Revenue Lack
By lighthouse
Have you ever listened, I mean really listened to peoples “explanatory style”? You know where they have every excuse in the book, they finger point for miles, and yet they never accept any ownership, accountability, or responsibility for their own actions and failures? Instead, the Obama administration spends the afternoon attempting to manipulate S&P into playing the game their way? Instead of getting real, they attempt to argue with Standard & Poors about some error they say they made. Come on now, regardless of the so called 2 trillion dollar error, look at the rising debt and then subtract the 2 trillion, what do you have? A DEBT PROBLEM, DUH!
S&P downgrades the US despite the unaccountable pleas from Washington, and then the Democrats start pointing at lack of revenue, that’s code for let’s raise the rich peoples taxes! I certainly would agree that there are some tax loopholes that need to be removed, to be fair, but increasing tax rates, no that is not the answer. Here’s the key; DO THE MATH, it’s not that hard to get beyond the hot air when the calculations are made. Raising the taxes on Jet owners will bring in 40 billion over 10 years, 20 billion for hedge, & 800 billion on the rich over ten years. Yeah, that’s a lot of money right? It totals 1.2 trillion over ten years, now look at the US debt below.

It’s obvious that taxing the rich will increase revenue, but it won’t touch but 6%, or so, of the overall debt, in 10 years. That would not have changed the S&P downgrade of the US, nor would it be enough to make any kind of a serious debt reduction now, or for that matter in ten years. Based on the current spending percentage rate increase each year of 8%, the US government will be in the hole between 20 to 25 trillion in 10 years, Hello? Increasing taxes on the rich are barely going to shave the edge of the grass. The truth of the matter is, just as it has been said, Washington does not have a revenue problem, they have a spending problem, and they need to get honest and finally budget themselves….. Mr. Obama!
Again, the Democrat led Senate has not produced a budge in more than 825 days, & that is against the law. Go figure this, no budget, no plans for anything close to serious, 4.5 trillion increase in debt since Obama started, 9.1% unemployment, poor economy, and so S&P downgrades the US credit. How can that be so hard to accept? AND Why is the Obama administration and democrats blaming anyone except for their own irresponsible selves? Well, cause they are deceptive and their intentions are politically motivated in a selfish manner. They are playing a game with the economy at the taxpayers expense, and then instead of owning up to it, and being honest, they say it’s because of this, or because of that. Democrats controlled the presidents seat and houses and still did nothing productive.
So what’s the solution? It begins with resolving the selfishness that corrupts Washington. The removal of the choke hold policies that the Obama administration has over Americans and American businesses. Mr. Big britches you are not God, and your policies are failing with seriously bad ramifications. Get over yourself, let your arrogance go, admit that it has not worked, and it’s not going to work, then change. Start with some prayer to God, ask Him for direction, wisdom, and guidance.
My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the LORD. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. Isaiah 55:8
Of what use is money in the hand of a fool, since he has no desire to
get wisdom? Proverbs 17:16
So if you have not been trustworthy in handling worldly wealth, who
will trust you with true riches? Luke 16:11
Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14
